Facts About Pearl Harbor:

~ President Roosevelt's famous quote:
"A date which will live in infamy - the United States of America
was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the
Empire of Japan...
Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion
the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory."

~ There are 15 Navy Medal of Honor recipients.

~ There were 2,008 Navy personnel killed in action.

~ There were 218 Army personnel killed in action.

~ There were 51 Navy Cross recipients.

~ There were 109 Marines killed in action

~ There were 68 Civilian casualties

~ Three Navy ships were lost: The Arizona, BB 39; Oklahoma, BB 37 and Utah, AG 16

~ Eighteen Navy ships were repaired and returned to service. They were:
